Engineered marble is recycled natural stone that has been crushed, pressed, heated and bonded with a very small amount of resin. Unlike natural stone which is porous, engineered mable is less pervious to moisture which can cause mildew. It is also more resistant to scratches and stains than quarried or cultured mable and does not require special cleaning or polishing.
Engineered marble is green material which helps our environment and is not a petroleum rich material such as cultured marble. It can be used in a variety of areas from bathroom counters, shower walls and floors to table tops and wainscoting. Beauty and affordablity make engineered marble an excellent choice.

Engineered marble creates something beautiful and lasting from what marble quarries heretofore wasted. The chunks and pieces of stone discarded by quarries are crushed, ground and mixed with a small amount of polyester resin then compressed and heated. The slabs are a composite material as they are a product of two or more raw materials. Composites are capable of providing physical and mechanical qualities superior to materials in natural form. In other words, you get the best of both worlds: the best properties of each component material, while at the same time, eliminating their less desirable characteristics. What good is a marble countertop once it becomes stained? Engineered marble is created from real marble, but with far higher resistance to staining, scratches and bacteria growth.
